We’ve all been there.
Hopeful.
Goal-driven.
Full of expectation.
And then a brick wall halts all forward progress.
Do you quake and crumble?
The nature of the human condition is to have hopes and goals which solidify into expectations.
And when not met, we’re frequently left deflated and disappointed.
Maybe we have a hissy fit.
Blame the circumstances.
Bemoan our poor fortune.
Pour a stiff drink.
Those responses make sense.
They don’t like the current outcome.
Yet, that brick wall has not budged an inch.
If the mind dictates the wall to be failure,
then it is.
So, then what?
Regroup.
Gain breathing space.
Take a walk.
Pivot perspective.
And address reality:
Possibility does not equate to eventuality.
Opportunities are present, enlisting action to follow.
Be open to what may arise.
Life is an experiment
presenting huge opportunities:
Learning, growth, expansion and evolution.
So, don’t forget to thank that frigging brick wall.
